This September, Gautier Capuçon, one of the 21st century's leading cellists, returns to Taiwan with pianist Jérôme Ducros for a Taiwan-exclusive program. 🎼
Following the world premiere in San Francisco and acclaimed performances in Paris, the duo brings the international tour of Capuçon's latest album, Gaïa, to Taiwan. Inspired by the beauty, power, and stillness of the natural world, the program's centerpiece transforms the spirit of the mountains into music.
The evening also features Capuçon's signature interpretations of Romantic masterpieces and dazzling operatic transcriptions. From the Nordic lyricism of Grieg and Sibelius to the fiery brilliance of Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 5, the irresistible passion of Bizet's Carmen, and the dramatic intensity of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, beloved melodies are reimagined through the expressive voice of the cello.
